Phlox is an ornament for every flower garden, especially during flowering, regardless of whether you choose mostly low-growing annual varieties or the perennial perennial phlox. If the flowering fails to occur, there are valid reasons for this.
Why is my phlox not blooming and what can I do?
If the phlox does not bloom, this may be due to planting too deep, lack of water, lack of nutrients or pests in the root area. Checking the roots, planting less deeply, adequate watering and fertilizing and, if necessary, pest control can help.
Why doesn't the phlox bloom?
The flame flower doesn't particularly like being planted very deep. This could cause the plant to bloom sparsely or not at all. Have you watered your plants enough and given them enough fertilizer? Pests in the root area are also sometimes responsible for the lack of flowering.
What to do if the phlox doesn't bloom?
If you are not satisfied with the flowering of your phlox, then it is best to dig up the plant. Check the roots thoroughly for pest infestation. If everything is OK, plant the phlox again, but not quite as deep as before. Water the plant well and maybe give it some fertilizer and more space.
Sometimes the Phlox also reacts very sensitively to its environment and location. If you have taken all the measures and your plant still doesn't bloom, then the only thing left is to switch to another variety that may tolerate the soil or the neighboring plants better.
