What planting distance is recommended for cypresses?
The ideal planting distance for cypresses is: At least 1.5 meters away from buildings and individual trees; in hedges 30 centimeters for three plants per meter or 50 centimeters for two plants per meter. Regular pruning promotes dense branching.
Planting distance from buildings, garden paths and neighboring properties
As a single tree, the cypress looks particularly good when there is enough distance from other plants and buildings. There should be at least 1.5 meters of planting distance.
Planting distance in the hedge
If you are in a hurry, plant three cypress trees per meter. The planting distance is then around 30 centimeters.
If you can take your time, two plants per meter are completely sufficient. The planting distance should be around 50 centimeters.

By trimming the hedge regularly, you can ensure that the trees branch well. Initially it makes sense to cut the cypress hedge twice a year.
