How long does a Nordmann fir stay fresh in the living room?
A Nordmann fir lasts up to four weeks in the living room under ideal conditions. To extend its shelf life, the tree should be watered daily, accustomed to heat slowly and not placed directly next to a heater.
Robust and durable Christmas tree
All varieties of Nordmann fir are very robust and give us the longest shelf life of all fir types in the living room. Even if the average temperature there is over 20 °C, it takes a long time for the tree to produce needles. Under ideal conditions, it maintains its fresh appearance for up to four weeks.
Water supply extends shelf life
The warm ambient air in the living room in particular causes the green needles of the fir tree to lose moisture. If this is not replaced, they will dry out and turn brown or fall off. You can counteract this by providing the tree with around 500 ml of water every day.
