Description
Three concentric green rings along the 19th century fortress belt are characteristic of Ingolstadt. Since commercial and residential development had previously dominated the second ring, the planners of the State Garden Show decided to create a new local recreation area for citizens at this point.
Under the motto “Inspiration Nature”, the event offers a green and blooming variety for all garden fans and nature lovers. The possibilities for environmentally friendly private garden use are presented in nine themed gardens.
Around 100,000 flower bulbs make the beds of the interchangeable surfaces shine in spring-like colors. Over 15,000 perennials open their flowers over the course of the gardening year and give the areas a constantly new look.
The information offered by professional gardening associations, which you can find in the information center, is very interesting for hobby gardeners.
