In autumn and spring you can buy blooming pansies in many different colors everywhere. The robust plants grow equally well in pots, bowls, containers and garden beds. They usually survive occasional frost without damage.
When is the best time to plant pansies?
Pansies should be planted in fall or spring. Autumn pansies are more robust and offer vigorous growth, high frost resistance, resistance to disease and a longer flowering period. Sowing in June results in flowering plants in October.
The pansies that you can buy in autumn are grown outdoors and are therefore more robust than the greenhouse products available in spring. The autumn pansies are characterized by
