The blue cushion, which can be described without exaggeration as extremely easy to care for, does not feel equally comfortable everywhere. It needs a specific location to thrive. Which one is suitable?
Where should the blue cushion be planted?
The ideal location for the blue cushion is a sunny, warm place, such as east to west balconies, rock gardens, open slopes, lawns, pathsides or sunny beds. Accumulated heat near walls is also unproblematic for the plant.
The pure sun is clearly preferred
Since the blue cushion finds its home in the Mediterranean region, it wants a sunny, warm location. A shady location would not only have a negative impact when fewer flowers are in bloom. Even outside of flowering, the plant would acknowledge the shady place by growing senescent.
You can find such a sunny location that makes the blue cushion happy, for example, on and in:
- East to West balconies
- Rock gardens
- open slopes and embankments
- Lawns
- side the road
- sunny beds
- Perennial borders
Tip
The accumulating heat that can build up in summer, especially near walls, doesn't bother the blue cushion much. Feel free to plant it in such a place!
