The silk tree is not only valued for its lightly scented, decorative flowers - its rapid growth has also contributed to its popularity. The tree, also known as the sleeping tree or silk acacia, grows quite quickly into a stately specimen.
How fast and big does a silk tree grow?
The growth of the silk tree is quite rapid: within a few years, under optimal conditions, it can reach a height of four to eight meters, with a crown width of up to four meters. However, in the pot it remains smaller, but can still grow up to three meters high.

Tip
The silk tree owes its name to the fact that the flowers curl up in the evening - i.e. "go to sleep". His homeland is in Asia. It belongs to the mimosa family.
