How do you properly care for cat grass?
For optimal cat grass care, choose a bright but not full sun location, use permeable substrate and always keep it moist. Avoid waterlogging, cut the grass if necessary and avoid fertilization.

Although you can also plant cat grass directly in the bed, the most common form of cultivation is to grow the Cyprus grass in a pot.
Note: Pot culture is particularly beneficial if you keep an indoor cat. This means you can give your cat the treat in a targeted manner. For this purpose, however, make sure that your cat grass does not grow with too sharp edges to avoid cuts on the animal's mouth.
The right location
Cat grass needs a lot of light. However, the stalks burn quickly in the blazing sun. A window sill facing east or west offers ideal conditions. A room temperature of 20-25°C is optimal. The humidity should also be increased.
The suitable substrate

It is then no longer suitable for your four-legged friend to eat. It is best to spray the plant instead of watering it. Another recommended method is to place the cat grass on a saucer filled with water.
Cutting
If your cat doesn't nibble on the grass consistently, you'll have to cut it down after a while. Otherwise brown tips will form. In addition, the grass becomes increasingly sharp-edged over time. The pruning can be heavy, as the cat grass sprouts quickly and forms stronger stalks.
Note: Under no circumstances should you fertilize your cat grass. The excess of nutrients has a harmful effect on your cat's digestion.
