Which location is ideal for sage?
The ideal location for sage is a full sun, warm place with nutrient-rich, humus-rich, fine-crumbly, airy and well-drained soil that is moderately dry and slightly calcareous. Avoid waterlogging and choose a pH value of 7 to 8.
The ideal light and temperature conditions
Since most sage species come from southern climes, they are sun worshipers. If you plant the herb in a sunny, warm location, you will benefit from the highest level of aroma and taste. The young plants only stay in a partially shaded place during sowing or propagation. Purchased sage should also be hardened in light shade for 1-2 weeks before planting in the garden.

- Nutritious, humus-rich soil
