As a rule, you do not need to prune your palm lily. You should only cut off blossomed inflorescences and wilted leaves, as they are not very decorative. But do this carefully as the leaves often have sharp edges.
How to cut a palm lily correctly?
To cut a palm lily, use a sharp knife or a small saw. Remove spent inflorescences and wilted leaves. If necessary, the yucca trunk can be cut into sections of 20-30 cm and replanted. Seal the cut surfaces with tree wax.
If you have a yucca as a houseplant, you should keep in mind that this plant grows quite quickly under favorable growing conditions. It also reaches the living room ceiling. In this case, a radical cut is usually the best solution.
How to properly cut your yucca
