Popular varieties of pansies are the large-flowered garden pansy (Viola wittrockiana), e.g. E.g. Swiss Giants, Cats Orange, Jolly Joker and Fama Zitrin, and the horned violet (Viola cornuta), e.g. Admire Orange Purple Win, Admiration and Twix Black. Both types offer a rich variety of colors and resistance.
The variety of species and varieties of pansies is almost endless. While wild pansy species occur in nature in yellow, white and violet, hobby gardeners can design their balcony boxes and flower beds in delicate pink, strong wine red, bright orange and many other color combinations as they wish.
Varieties of the large-flowered garden pansy
