Before you go to work and plant the cyclamen, you should have considered its location requirements. This perennial does not feel at home everywhere. The wrong location can mean, among other things, shortened flowering or failure

Where is the best location for cyclamen?
The ideal cyclamen location offers shade to partial shade, temperatures between 10 and 15°C and high humidity. Suitable places are a wooded edge, an unheated bedroom, a staircase, a bright bathroom, a frost-free balcony, a terrace or a winter garden.
Bright and moderately warm - no direct sun
In addition to high humidity, the cyclamen values moderate temperatures. Temperatures between 10 and 15 °C are most ideal for growth and to extend the flowering period for a long time.
The cyclamen should never be placed in a direct south-facing position where it is exposed to the sun. The following locations are more suitable:
- Shade to partial shade
- wooded edge
- unheated bedroom
- Staircase
- bright bathroom
- frost-free on the balcony or terrace
- Winter Garden
Tips & Tricks
The conditions should be right not only above, but also below and tailored to the cyclamen. The soil should be permeable, humus-rich, nutrient-rich and slightly moist.
