Colorful winter foliage, magical bell-shaped flowers and low maintenance requirements - these are the advantages of many Bergenias. But not all varieties have bright foliage or colorful flowers in winter. Here is an overview of the best-known varieties with their characteristics!
Which different Bergenia varieties are known?
Bergenia varieties vary in flower color and leaf shape. There are light-flowered varieties such as Bergenia 'Silberlicht' (white) and 'Baby Doll' (pink), dark-flowered varieties such as 'Eroica' (violet-red) and 'Abendglut' (purple-red), as well as extravagant varieties such as Bergenia cordifolia (salmon pink) and 'Monte Rosa' (blue-purple filled).
