A dandelion – in the middle of the neatly manicured lawn! A disaster! While this sunny yellow flowering wild plant doesn't bother some nature lovers, other gardeners feel bothered by it. Gouging is considered the number 1 control method.
How do you cut out dandelions correctly?
To successfully pull out dandelions, use a weed puller and proceed as follows: pierce next to the root, pierce deep into the soil, lever or twist slightly, loosen the taproot and pull it out. Do this before the seeds ripen.
The most effective method of combating
Punching dandelions is usually successful in permanently removing the plant. This makes it possible to remove them from the ground from the tip of the root to the flower and destroy them. In particular, dandelions that are growing in the lawn can be easily removed using this method.
Use a weed cutter
Grabbing the dandelion and pulling it out of the ground can be successful. At least if it is a young plant and the soil is loose. If this is not the case, the root breaks, you only pull out part of it and the other part remains stuck in the ground. There the roots can regenerate and sprout again.
