How to control mildew on maple leaves?

To effectively combat powdery mildew on maple, remove infected parts of the plant and spray the leaves until dripping wet with a mixture of 125 ml fresh milk, 1 l boiled water and a teaspoon of dish soap. Repeat every 3-4 days until symptoms are no longer visible.

Fighting mildew with cow's milk - How to do it

If you have discovered the first symptoms of powdery mildew on the leaves, first cut off all infected parts of the plant. Then your path leads to the refrigerator, because there is a powerful home remedy against fungal infestation:

  • Mix 125 ml fresh milk with 1 l boiled water
  • Add a teaspoon of dish soap to optimize leaf adhesion
  • Pour the solution into a spray bottle (€27.00 on Amazon)
  • Wet the top and bottom sides of all leaves dripping wet with the milk water

Repeat the application every 3 to 4 days until symptoms no longer occur. You can also use the home remedy as a preventive measure if mildew is regularly rampant in your garden.
