Every year the fruit trees show off their lush white-pink blossoms. Insects are attracted by the brightly colored petals, which carry the pollen from flower to flower and pollinate them in the process. Most fruit species have white to white-pink flowers, but some species and varieties also have pretty pink flowers.
Which fruit trees have pink flowers?
Pink flowers are mainly found on peach trees (Prunus persica), nectarines, apricots (Prunus armeniaca), real almond trees (Prunus dulcis) and some old apple varieties such as 'Graham's Jubilee Apple' or 'Kronprinz Rudolf'. The flowers are usually soft pink and very attractive to insects.

Many Prunus species, especially peaches, nectarines and apricots, bloom lavishly in a light to dark pink. Apple, pear and cherry trees, on the other hand, usually bloom white, although some varieties - especially old varieties - sometimes also have pink flowers.
Apple
Most apple varieties have a deep pink flower bud that eventually blooms pure white. Pink flowers, on the other hand, have old varieties such as 'Graham's Jubilee Apple' or 'Kronprinz Rudolf'.
Peach
The peach tree (Prunus persica) in particular is known for its lush, pink flowers. This appears in April and is at high risk from late frosts.
Nectarine
The nectarine, which is created from the peach, also blooms in rich pink flowers.
Apricot
Apricots (Prunus armeniaca), which are called apricots in Austria, often also bloom delicate pink.
Almond
The real almond tree (Prunus dulcis) also has beautiful soft pink flowers.
Tip
So that the tree shows its blooms every year, you have to cut it back regularly.
