To successfully propagate an angel's trumpet, cuttings, preferably top cuttings, should be taken from a 10-15 cm long shoot and placed in a pot with potting soil. At a temperature of 18-20°C and constantly moist soil, the cutting should be rooted within 2-4 weeks.

How to propagate the angel trumpet
As I said - getting a new plant from an angel trumpet is not difficult at all. The following methods are particularly suitable:
- Cuttings – either head or stem cuttings
- with restriction: seeds
Propagation of cuttings
Angel's trumpet propagation works best using cuttings - and best of all using top cuttings.
To do this, cut off a young but well-developed shoot of around 10 to 15 centimeters from the upper flowering area of the plant. The lower leaves are then removed and the cutting is placed in a pot with potting soil (€6.00 on Amazon) and, if necessary, just a little slow-release fertilizer. Place the pot in a place that is around 18 to 20°C warm and always keep the soil moist. After about 2 to 4 weeks, the cutting should usually have rooted. Then you can transplant it into a larger pot and start normal care.
You can do the same with a stem cutting from the lower growth area. However, due to the advanced lignification, you have to expect a longer growth time and also a lower success rate.
Seed propagation
Propagation via seeds is of course theoretically possible, but much trickier and only recommended if you want to achieve a different flower color. The seeds should be collected in autumn, dried over the winter and placed in a pot with fertilized potting soil in spring. A temperature that is as continuous as possible of around 20°C and uniform humidity, ideally under a foil bag, are crucial for germination. The seedlings should appear within about 2-3 weeks.
