What does a ginkgo need to feel good?
If the ginkgo is still young, it prefers a partially shaded location, but later full sun. With some bushes nearby you can provide some shade for the young ginkgo. It copes more or less well with almost any soil, but thrives best in slightly moist, well-drained and deep soil.
The ginkgo is not particularly suitable as a houseplant, but can be cultivated well in a pot or bucket on the balcony. Here too, it prefers a sunny location.
