How do you propagate Pilea (UFO plant) through cuttings?
To propagate Pilea through cuttings, take a cutting from the mother plant, plant it in a nursery pot with high-quality substrate or place it in a glass of water until roots are visible. Then plant the cutting in a larger pot and place it in a bright location.
Different growth of cuttings
The Pilea trains two different types of investors:
- Offshoots that grow directly on the mother plant
- Offshoots with their own roots that protrude from the ground at some distance
