In addition to the pumpkin seeds, you only need kitchen towels and a coarse and a fine kitchen sieve.
- Place pumpkin seeds in the coarse sieve.
- Let water run into the sink so that the seeds are completely covered.
- Swirl everything in the water with your hand, always rubbing the pumpkin seeds along the edge of the sieve.
- The clean seeds are lighter than the pulp and float on top.
- Scoop the pumpkin seeds by hand and place them in the second sieve.
- Clean again as described above.
- Scoop the pumpkin seeds and spread them on a kitchen towel. Place another towel over it and rub gently. This will also loosen the last remains of the pumpkin flesh.

It is often advised to place the pumpkin seeds on kitchen paper and rub off the last fibers with it. We advise against this, as not only the sticky components of the pumpkin flesh but also the seeds stick to the paper. Often the kitchen paper can no longer be removed without leaving any residue.
