The main difference between floribunda roses and noble roses is the number of flowers per stem. Noble roses have a large single flower on a long stem, while floribunda roses produce four to five smaller flowers on each shoot, making them appear bushier.

- Depending on the variety, the roses reach heights of between 70 and 130 centimeters.
- Both variants often exude a fine scent.
- Since the buds bloom one after the other, both bed and noble roses have a long flowering period.
- The main flowering period extends from May to July. If you cut out everything that has bloomed regularly, it will usually bloom again in August and September.
Which is easier to care for: bed roses or noble roses?
In terms of resistance and care, there is no significant difference between bed roses and noble roses. This is particularly true for new varieties that are relatively resistant to fungal diseases.
The following care rules apply to both main groups:
- In spring, weak shoots are shortened to about five eyes.
- Cut out spent flowers regularly throughout the summer.
- Provide once shortly before budding and a second time in June with a special rose fertilizer (€10.00 on Amazon).
- Before the first frost, pile up soil and protect the plants like a tent with sticks.
Are there any differences when using bedding roses or floribundas?
Bothbed roses and noble rosescan be wonderfully integrated asindividual plants in flowerbeds. Small groups, combined with lavender, grasses and perennials, look particularly modern.
Roses are no longer as popular as a few years ago as surface plants, as the queen of flowers cultivated in this way is more susceptible to diseases and pests.

The best planting time for bed and noble roses
You should plant roses in autumn if possible, because at this time of year you receive the canes fresh from the field. The plants have enough time to take root until winter, sprout vigorously next spring and set lots of buds.
