Transplanting the apricot tree in stages
As a heart-rooted plant, the apricot tree can cope with a change of location within the first five years of growth. By transplanting the fruit tree in stages, you significantly reduce the risk of failure. The optimal time window is from September to April. In autumn, cut off the root ball in the radius of the tree crown and fill the furrow with compost. Only in spring do you dig up the root ball and plant the apricot in the new location.
