The germination time of pepper seeds is usually between 5 days and 2 weeks. To improve germination, you can soak the seeds in lukewarm chamomile tea or garlic water for 1 to 2 days.
The seed may be dried or removed from fresh, ripe peppers and dried. The best semen quality can be recognized by the following criteria:
- the seed was stored in a cool, dry and dark place
- the seeds are firm and cannot be pressed in
- The seeds are two to four millimeters large and ocher yellow in color
