Lily of the valley with their beautiful, mostly white or occasionally pink flowers add romance to the garden. They should not be confused with wild garlic or snowdrop flowers.
What does a lily of the valley flower look like?
Lily of the valley flowers are small, bell-shaped flowers in white or pink that bloom in May and exude an intense scent. They hang in clusters of up to 17 or 20 flowers on a stem and attract many insects.

Lily of the valley flowers have the shape of small bells that hang from the flower stalk as if strung on a line.
In contrast to the equally popular snowdrop, there are up to 17 flowers on each stem, and in some cultivated forms there are even 20. The snowdrop only produces a single flower.
Depending on the cultivation, the flowers have a diameter of one to one and a half centimeters. They can also be up to one and a half centimeters long.

It's not for nothing that the spring flowers have their name. The main flowering time is May. The first flowers often open at the end of April and the last lilies of the valley fade at the beginning of June.
