Passion flowers are summer bloomers
Passiflora cultivated in this country, the botanically correct name for passion flowers, begin their flowering period around May / June - and often show their splendor well into September. The individual flowers are only one to two days old, although in some species they can close overnight. Passiflora kept in the garden or on the balcony usually bloom more luxuriantly than houseplants, which are necessarily kept smaller. The climbing plant can grow up to six meters (some specimens even higher).
