Which is the best location for cypress trees?
The ideal location for cypresses is bright, sunny or partially shaded, protected from the wind, without waterlogging and with permeable, slightly acidic and nutritious soil. Maintain a planting distance of at least one meter from walls, buildings and utility lines.
Bright, warm, sunny – the right location for cypress trees
Cypress trees are at home in warmer regions. In Germany they only thrive well in locations where it is not too cold and not too rainy in winter.
The requirements for the location are:
- bright, if possible sunny or partially shaded
- sheltered from the wind
- permeable soil
- nutritious, slightly acidic soil
Maintain sufficient planting distance
Plant cypress trees at least one meter away from walls, buildings and utility lines. The distance to neighboring property is regulated by municipal regulations.
Tip
