There are different types of papyrus, but all of them are not hardy. Real papyrus is very delicate and requires temperatures of at least 15 °C. Other species are content with temperatures as low as 10 °C and are well suited as houseplants.

In order to hibernate Papyrus in winter, a bright and warm winter quarters is necessary. Real papyrus requires at least 15°C, while other types require 10°C. The plant should continue to be watered normally and perhaps fertilized a little less.
Take your Papyrus to a warm and bright winter quarters. For example, a heated winter garden or, for smaller plants, the living room is well suited. Continue to water your papyrus normally even in winter. You can reduce the fertilizer a little since the plant doesn't bloom.

- continue watering normally
- possibly fertilize a little less
