The easiest and quickest way to build a swing bench yourself is to use an existing wooden bench. You can get these for little money at almost any hardware store. Saw off the legs of the bench and attach hanging ropes instead.
When attaching it, make sure that your swing bench cannot tip over. Leave the legs on the wooden bench and add runners to it to create a standing rocking bench.

It's relatively easy to build a swing bench yourself from Euro pallets. You can find these at reasonable prices on the Internet, as well as so-called disposable pallets. However, these are less stable and may be treated with wood preservatives. They are not suitable for building a resilient swing. Instead, use high-quality Euro pallets that have not been treated with poison or wood preservatives.
