Suitable pots
Flower bulbs can root practically any pot. It just needs to be deep enough so that there is room for at least 3 cm of soil underneath the planted bulbs. Large holes are important so that excess irrigation or rain water can drain away easily. Otherwise the onions can rot.
In addition, the pot or plant bowl can be chosen according to your own aesthetic ideas. Flower boxes can also be planted with flower bulbs.
Tip
If you have several pots, it is recommended to label each one with the variety name and insert small labels into them. This means that it is clear in spring what will sprout where.
Plants
Pots can be planted with flower bulbs from mid-September to early October. At the bottom there should be a drainage layer made of expanded clay (€19.00 on Amazon) so that water can drain away easily. So that this layer does not mix with the earth above it, a layer of fleece is placed in between.
Flower bulbs in pots are planted in potting soil. The pot should be filled with it up to about 15 cm below the edge. The flower bulbs will be distributed on top. The following applies:

Wintering

If you don't have a good wintering option, you should plant the flower bulbs in spring.
