How long is the planting time for kohlrabi?
The ideal planting time for kohlrabi extends from mid-March to the beginning of July, whereby young plants can be planted under warming fleece and later planting is possible throughout the summer. The harvest time is from May to October.
Fresh kohlrabi until autumn
The first kohlrabi plants can be planted in the bed from mid-March. To protect them from frost, you should cover them with fleece or foil. The kohlrabi harvest begins in May and makes room on the bed for vegetables that are only allowed outside after the Ice Saints.
Because of its short growing season, kohlrabi can be grown all summer long. Planted by the beginning of July, the last kohlrabi is ready for harvest from August to October.
