Are indoor palms poisonous?
The toxicity of indoor palms varies depending on the species: Yucca palms are slightly toxic to animals, but not to humans; Chilean honey palms have edible fruits; Phoenix palm fruits are inedible but not poisonous; Cycads are very poisonous. Be informed when purchasing and keep poisonous plants away from children and pets.
It's best to ask about its toxicity when you buy your indoor palm. While the yucca palm is classified as slightly toxic to poisonous, the fruits of the Chilean honey palm are even edible. Cycad is considered very poisonous and the fruits of the phoenix palm are inedible. However, consumption is not dramatic because the fruits are not poisonous.
