How do you properly overwinter a coral bush?
To overwinter a coral bush successfully, place it in a bright place with temperatures between 8-12 degrees, water moderately and ensure high humidity. Keep children and pets away from the poisonous fruits.
Overwinter coral bush properly
Since the coral bush is not hardy and does not tolerate temperatures below eight degrees well, you have to overwinter it indoors. You can only grow it outdoors as an annual or you can dig it up in good time in the fall. It's even better to grow it straight away in the bucket.
To overwinter, place the coral bush in a bright place where the temperatures are between eight and twelve degrees. Water only moderately in winter, but ensure that the humidity is sufficiently high.
Tip
If you bring the coral bush indoors in winter, make sure that small children and pets cannot reach the fruits. They contain alkaloids that can cause serious symptoms of poisoning if consumed.
