How should you properly fertilize a pine tree?
To fertilize a pine tree, if magnesium is deficient, use Epsom s alt or conifer fertilizer for general nutritional needs. Bonsai pines are best fed with bonsai liquid fertilizer or granules. Fertilize monthly in winter and every two weeks when growing, but avoid the budding stage.
Epsom s alt - an effective remedy for nutrient deficiencies
Epsom s alt is a substance with a high magnesium content. It is considered an optimal fertilizer for various conifers. But other plants with green leaves also benefit from the product. When using, follow the steps below:
- take a soil sample using a test strip from the nursery to rule out other negative factors such as dryness, too much lime or excessive moisture
- use Epsom s alt only if there is a nutrient deficiency

- be sure to adhere to the dosage recommendations given (see below)
- water your pine tree sufficiently afterwards
