How can you grow houseplants yourself?
To grow houseplants yourself, you can take cuttings from an existing plant and cultivate them in nursery pots with the right substrate and location. Avoid waterlogging and ensure sufficient humidity so that he althy young plants develop.
Various methods
Houseplants can be propagated by sowing or cuttings. The latter variant is far more recommended as it is not only faster but also much easier. In addition, propagation from cuttings guarantees that your houseplant has the same characteristics as the mother plant. Simply take a few shoots with at least one pair of leaves from an existing houseplant.
What should you pay attention to when rearing?

Selection of location
Even if no new shoots are sprouting from the soil yet, you have to take the lighting conditions at the location into account. On the one hand, the substrate dries out more quickly in intense sunlight, so watering is necessary more often. On the other hand, plants differ in light and dark germinators. You can only sprinkle the former on the substrate when sowing. They require direct light to grow. However, press seeds from a dark germinator a few centimeters deep into the soil.
Substrate and pot choice

Accelerate germination
In the first few weeks, cuttings need a lot of humidity because they cannot yet absorb water from the soil due to the lack of roots. Placing a clear plastic wrap over the pot will increase the humidity around the houseplant. Now the cuttings can absorb the water through their leaves.
Note: Be sure to avoid dry heating air and remember to ventilate the film once a day to prevent mold.
Separating and transplanting
As the plants grow larger, you should separate them. To do this, carefully poke under the root ball and pry it out of the substrate. Now separate the root ball and place the individual parts in different pots.
