Hardwoods such as teak, Bangkirai or bamboo are best suited for building terraces. Decking made of such material lasts particularly long. If it is to be a softwood, larch and Douglas fir are particularly recommended. Heat-treated thermowood made from pine or ash can also be considered. The wood-like WPC is also popular.
