How should you plant a blood plum?
To plant the blood plum correctly, choose a sunny to partially shaded location and plant it in autumn. When planting in containers, make sure there is enough volume (30-40 L), drainage and humus. The grafting point should be 5 cm above the ground.
Choose the right location:
The tasty blood plum prefers sunny to semi-shady places. These varieties thrive in pots, in orchards or beds.
When is the ideal planting time?
As soon as the autumn rest period begins, you can plant the Prunus cerafisera. It should be noted that only young specimens survive a change of location. You should no longer transplant older trees or bushes.
When does the growing season begin?
This species produces flowers in early spring. They delight from April to May. Subsequently, blood plums produce sweet fruits.
How does this ornamental tree reproduce?
The blood plum is propagated primarily through grafting. Wild shoots and sowing do not produce the desired result.
Plant correctly
Prepare a planting hole. This should be twice as large as the root ball itself. In the next step, loosen the soil.

- Addition of humus recommended (approx. 30% of the excavation: mix well)

Container Planting
Gently pull the container away from the plant. Loosening the root ball is recommended. Then soak the entire bale with water. This way it will take root more quickly. Transplanting instructions
