Which location is suitable for a pipe bush?
For an ideal pipe bush location, choose a sunny to partially shaded spot with enough room for growth. The soil should be nutrient-rich, but can be improved by adding compost or horn shavings. Avoid locations in close proximity to Pfaffenhütchen or Common Viburnum.
Sunny location preferred
The pipe bush likes light, air and sun most of all. But the ornamental shrub also thrives in partial shade. It doesn't feel comfortable in direct shade and only produces a few flowers.
