How can you successfully overwinter roses in a pot?
Overwintering roses in pots: Move the potted roses to a protected place (e.g. on a house wall), cover the surface of the soil with brushwood, wrap the pots with bubble wrap or reed mats and fill the gaps with wood wool or leaves. Water on frost-free days and prevent premature sprouting with fir branches or frost protection fleece.

Sometimes protected roses sprout too early; you should try to prevent this with the help of fir branches or frost protection fleece.
Tip
You can also put your potted roses in the basement, garage or unheated winter garden to overwinter - ideally at temperatures between 0 and 5 degrees Celsius. However, it should not get warmer than 10 degrees Celsius, otherwise the plants will sprout.
