The unconventional flowering time in the evening does not mean that the miracle flower wants an unusual location. Here you can find out under what conditions the summer long-blooming plant presents itself magnificently.
Which location is best for the miracle flower?
The ideal location for a miracle flower (Mirabilis jalapa) is a sunny, warm location that is protected from wind and rain. The soil should be normal, humus-rich, loose and well-drained. A planting distance of 70 to 80 cm and a pot volume of at least 10 liters are recommended.
At this location the miracle flower meets all expectations
In order to produce the colorful sea of flowers at the end of the day, the miracle flower wants to absorb as many rays of sunshine as it can get hold of. In addition, the young shoots are a little fragile, so a strong gust of wind can damage the plant. Therefore, plant a Mirabilis jalapa in these locations:
- Sunny, warm location
- Wind and rain protected
- Normal, humus-rich, loose and well-drained soil
Since a miracle flower develops a space-consuming habit, it should be given as much space as possible at the location. Please place the tubers in the soil at a distance of 70 to 80 cm. A bucket should have a volume of at least 10 liters.
