Ivy plants form long tendrils that can grow up to 20 meters long in tropical regions. Aerial roots develop on the shoots, but they are not suitable for climbing. You therefore have to tie up an ivy plant or you can simply grow it hanging in a hanging basket.

Tip
In young ivy plants, the leaves are between five and ten centimeters large. The older the plant gets, the larger the leaves become. They can reach a size of up to 40 centimeters.
