How can I build a garden house door myself?
To build a garden house door yourself, you can use a wooden panel as a simple door leaf, create a visually appealing door with a frame construction or make a model from boards and U-profiles. Pay attention to the correct size, stability and installation of fittings and door handles.
There are various options for this:

A plate as a door leaf
This variant is very easy to produce because there is no need for a complex construction. However, you have to make sure that the wooden board you use is not too heavy. The execution is very simple:
- Cut the plate to size.
- Sand and smooth edges.
- Pre-drill holes for the fittings and the door handle.
- Attach these and install the new door.
The door with frame construction
This slightly more complex model looks very appealing, but is still relatively easy to build. The construction is made up of three layers: an inner and outer frame, between which the door panel lies. You can design these from wooden boards or strips according to your taste. Additional center struts are integrated for greater stability.
Build a door from boards and U-profiles
In this construction, the frame is replaced by practical U-profiles into which narrow wooden boards are inserted. Boards with tongue and groove that are firmly glued together are well suited for this design. Instead of the frame, place the profiles around the resulting wooden surface and attach the fittings and the door handle.
