What are the characteristics of the ash maple?

The variety name Flamingo refers to the white-green variegated leaf color with a delicate pink border.
A sunny location near the pond is welcome for the distinctive ash maple. In the large pot it decorates the terrace and balcony with its beautiful leaves. In contrast to most of its conspecifics, regular topiary pruning is desirable on Flamingo so that the decorative foliage retains its color.

Its beauty and vigor do not protect the ash maple from disease. In particular, fungal infestations such as mildew and maple scab cause headaches for home gardeners.
