Drowning a mole is not allowed because it is a protected species and cannot be killed or caught. Instead of flooding the burrow, try repelling the mole using alternative methods such as buttermilk, mothballs, garlic, or wind turbines.

Nevertheless, it is possible to flood the mole's burrow to persuade the mole to move. Who likes getting their feet wet at home? To get rid of the mole with water, find several molehills and insert a garden hose into them. Let the water run for about 20 minutes and then submerge another mound. Do not flood all the hills so as not to block the mole's escape route. Moles are good swimmers, but they cannot breathe under water. So don't overdo it with the water! Repeat the process daily.
Alternatives for distribution
Flooding the mole burrow is not a good option to get rid of the mole. On the one hand, there is a risk of drowning the mole, which is a punishable offence, and on the other hand, reports show that the methods are rarely successful. Instead, you can resort to other measures such as:
