How to plant an apricot tree correctly?
Apricot trees can be grown in beds or in planters. Choose a sunny and wind-protected location, create drainage in the planting hole and prepare the root ball. The ideal planting time is frost-free March or alternatively April to October for bare-rooted trees.

Distribute this substrate directly over the drainage. Place the tree in the center of the container. Fill the bucket gradually. Constantly pressing the soil with your fingers avoids air holes and has a positive effect on the tree. An additional wooden post gives the apricot constant support. Then water the plant well with rainwater. Too much moisture should be avoided from the first day.

The planting hole should be twice larger than the root ball itself. Loosen the soil deeply. It is recommended to create a drainage system. The excavation is enriched with compost (30%) and horn shavings (150 grams) before filling. After planting, press the soil well. The grafting point must be 5 centimeters above the ground.
Prepare root ball:
For bare root produce, pull the bale apart slightly. Breaks and kinks are removed. Finally, shorten the shoots by a third. After the ball has soaked in water, it is ready for planting.
