The ideal location for an African violet is a bright to partially shaded place without direct sunlight, with consistent temperatures between 18 and 15 °C and high humidity. Kitchen or bathroom are particularly suitable.

The African violet, which is poisonous to cats, loves high humidity. The place should be bright to partially shaded. The African violet cannot cope with full sun. The bathroom and the kitchen are therefore predestined for this plant.
Here are some other important tips to make choosing a location easier:
- North, east and west windows are suitable
- Temperature between 18 and 15 °C (never below 16 °C!)
- Temperature should be consistent
- do not expose to drafts
- do not place near a running heater (dry air)
- high humidity causes better growth
