This ground cover is non-toxic both before, during and after its flowering period. All parts of the plant - the blue to violet-blue flowers, the felty leaves, the stems and roots, the capsule fruits and the seeds are free of harmful active ingredients.
Protection in handling is unnecessary
When handling it, you do not need to wear protective gloves or forcefully wash your hands afterwards. Quite the opposite: You can use the flowers of the blue cushion as decoration for salads or starter plates, for example. With their blue color they make an impression.
