As a tropical plant, the rotary fruit likes warmth, but does not tolerate direct sun very well. It also reacts quite sensitively to dry air, cold and waterlogging. However, the rotary fruit does not need a special winter quarters.
How can you properly overwinter the rotary fruit?
In order for the rotary fruit to overwinter successfully in winter, it does not need any special winter quarters. Make sure not to let the temperature fall below 13 °C and reduce the amount of water and fertilization after flowering.
Caring for the different rotary fruit varieties is not that easy. It doesn't like too dry heated air or drafts, but it can stand well in a warm room all year round. Once flowering has ended, stop fertilizing and reduce the amount of water. In winter the temperature may drop a little, but not below 13 °C.
The most important tips for rotary fruit:
- no special winter quarters not required
- water more when it is warm than when it is cool
- higher humidity required in warm weather
- fertilize less outside of the flowering period
Tip
If your rotary fruit has a nice spot, then move the plant as little as possible, it may react sensitively to a change of location.
