Moss can look very decorative on walls and sidewalks. However, moss growth is usually not desirable. This can make garden paths slippery and garden furniture unusable. A simple home remedy for removing moss is cola. How to combat moss with cola.
Can you remove moss with cola?
To remove moss with cola, spray undiluted cola onto the moss, allow it to take effect, wipe or sweep and rinse with water. This method is only suitable for small areas as Cola contains sugar and becomes undesirably sticky in large quantities.
Removing moss from walls and sidewalks with cola
Cola contains, among other things, phosphoric acid. This is a good moss remover and then keeps the surfaces moss-free for a longer period of time. In contrast to commercially available moss removers, Cola is non-toxic and can therefore also be used in organic gardens.
Even though Cola contains dyes, stones and furniture will not discolor if you remove moss with the popular drink. The concentration of the dyes is too low to cause discoloration.

The amounts of cola required for large areas are not only relatively expensive, the drink also contains a lot of sugar. This should not penetrate the garden soil in large quantities.
Tip
A high-pressure cleaner is suitable for removing large areas of moss from wall joints. However, it must be used carefully so that the moss does not discolor the walls.
