This is a simple but creative work that can also be done well with children. When decorating flower pots, there are no limits to your imagination. The easiest way is to paint the pot with watercolor or acrylic paint. Find a nice motif and just start. While acrylic paint is waterproof, watercolor decorations still need to be preserved with spray paint. Then the works of art will last at least one summer until they slowly fade.

Old tile residues are given a new purpose here. Break the tiles into small pieces and stick them on the pot as a new picture or in fantasy patterns.

An old skipping rope from the basement has a new function here (if it is long enough). For the work you need:
- a jute rope (€13.00 on Amazon) 10 to 20 m long, depending on the size of the pot
- a flower pot
- the hot glue gun

- Have your materials ready.
- Apply a few dots of glue to the bottom edge of the pot.
- Press the rope into the liquid plastic and let everything cool briefly.
- Continue the adhesive trail around the pot.
- Press the rope into the glue again, very close to the previous rope trace.
- Keep doing this until the pot is completely covered with rope.
- If you wish, you can finish the last tour with a decorative knot.
- If you like, you can paint the rope with acrylic.
