- Keep the glass bright and cool. The optimal temperature is around 10 degrees Celsius.
- Check the water level regularly. Add some water if necessary. However, the flower bulb should not be wetted with water.
- Get the glass warm as soon as flower buds appear.

You can also turn any glass into an onion glass as long as it has enough space. It should also be tall to provide support for the flowers. Large jars are particularly useful when using several flower bulbs at the same time.
